Alerts are a subsription service. If you subscribe, as new material is added to the site, you will be notified by email. This can be immediately the material is added, once a day, once a week or once a month. You can choose what you are interested in - any or all of: new reviews, new or amended restaurants, new links, new press articles, including site developments. And you change change your preferences as often or as little as you like.

There is a €6,00 a year charge for this. I make this charge for two reasons: first because it ensures that you are interested in receiving the material (I do not want to be a "spammer") and second because there is an overhead on my server associated with sending such emails. But I also want this to be a "community" site; so I am currently looking at ways to waive this charge for users that review restaurants and introduce new users. More on that soon, I hope.
