A lovely local restaurant. The food is real garfagnana fare. I enjoyed the wild boar over polenta as a main course. There is nothing fancy about this place. Always great food and a great value. |

The wood fired oven is used to perfection. A basket of freshly baked thin, crispy foccaccia will keep you going till the antipasto appears. The fantasia di antipasto is a meal in itself, prosciutto, farro salad, fried polenta with ragu; then there are the roast meats from the wood oven. Tagliata di manzo with ruccola was cooked to perfection. The lamb cops a bit overcooked. Four of us dined for Euro 100 including wine. Excellent food and friendly service. |

On the main Lucca to Castelnuovo road just past Calavorno (going N) Simple traditional tuscan food. Excellent bruschetta; tasty bistecca di maiale (pork chop)
Pleasant friendly service. Slightly bland interior and road noise outside, but a good simple osteria |
